A lot of things we do surrounding meals impacts the way we digest and absorb the food we eat. Yes these are basic tips, but they so often get overlooked especially as we are constantly running around, stressed out, and not giving thought to the ceremony around our meals like we should.
Basic Tips

Sit Down
This sends the message to your body that you are in a relaxed state and ready for digestion
Remove distractions
This includes work, phone, TV
Take some deep breaths or say a lil prayer before you eat
This will help to center you, slow your roll and assist with digestion by stimulating that parasympathetic nervous system
Chew. A lot.
Chew way more than you think you need to. Minimum 20 bites per food bolus
Enjoy it!
Studies have shown that we absorb the nutrients we consume much better if we actually enjoy them. Fascinating, huh?
